Lightning vs M3 in Dayton Cinci Area???

Any lightning owners up for shuting up my two friends that have BMW M3s here in Dayton Ohio??? They talk smack every day about how their M3s are are greatest and they think I'm an idiot because I think the lightning would give them a run for the money. They just sent me a video of an M3 racing a lightning on a busy interstate with lots of traffic and they think that proves something. Any takers for shutting them up???

The M3 and the lightning are a good match. My girlfriend works for BMW and she brings home cars every weekend. I have raced her while she was driving the M3. To me neither car is faster but we really didn't go above 80.

I live in Cinci and my girlfriend works at Jake Sweeney.

I would be their huckleberry if I lived a tad closer. Are they willing to wager?

I assume he is referring to the new E46 models. No other model M3 will touch a Gen 2 in the straights...

M3

Don't understate an BMW M3!!!
I'm sure I can can give you details, you don't get in the USA.
Some friends drive a M3 and if is real and no fake, you have to own a good moded L. Here in Germany a 04 Lightning costs less then a half of an M3, of course this is no reason, but ???
I opened a thread 'Increase top speed' because about that, an M3 in Germany without mods is blocked at 250 kmh and I want to catch him!!!

I would assume the same, but I have wrestled with a few supercharged Dinan E36 M3's and they're no slouches. The Active Autowerke turbocharged ones are even faster.

You are correct my friend...those things can be beasts. However, M3s with power adders (except maybe nitrous?) are far and few between. Their superchargers and turbochargers make the KB seem like a catback as far as pricing!

Make it the best 2 out of 3.

1. Who can haul the most furniture or mulch at once.
2. Who can tow the heaviest trailer or boat.
3. Who is the fastest in the1/4 mile.

These are multi purpose trucks, not just sporty vehicles to cruise around in. I work for BMW also, and they are great driving cars, but no where near as versitle as my truck. People tend to forget the facts, this is a 4,700 pound truck. Pull out a limited sports car and you have more of a comparison. I'm sure they have multiple reasons not to race a new viper or Z06, excuses never seem to run short when they are scared they might lose.

I have that video, it proves nothing except the passenger of the lightning talked a lot of ***** and then they got walked, but it was at high speeds which the L is not good at pulling, from a stop the L would have had him.

Better yet, I go down to Kilkare raceway sometimes. It's in Xenia. We can get it on there, so it's legal and they won't be able to lie about it!

Sounds like BS excuses to me. I don't know about your area, but around here, spouting those lines will get you absolutely no respect. Run what ya brung...
