looking to rebuild motor..

want to strengthen the motor. just wondering what parts together (cams, heads, rods, pistons, etc..) would be the ideal setup to rebuilding my motor. give me the brand name so i know where to get the parts from. this motors future is going to recieve around 18lbs. of boost and 75-100 shot. also want as much hp & trq gains as well. im sure you guys have gone through all the trial processes and found what parts work best for our trucks. want to do everything, have some money to blow. ill be building this motor with a friend, dont just want to buy a built motor. thanks for your help.

i dont specifically have anything for you but if you want to build a beefy motor research the buildup of chris (superfords)'s monster motor. otherwise maybe contact anyone of the big 3 (JDM/PSP/JLP) and see what they say?
edit: here are their sites
teamjdm.com
powersurgeperformance.net
JLPracing.com

maybe some of the guys with built motors can chime in too.

From: Colorado,
WECOME!

birdy is right

I will just add that what you are asking is the main topic of discusion and opinions vary.

I would just do rods and get the new style heads 03> with more spark plug threads. FTVB for the tranny and some traction bars.

Just don't get in a hurry. Hang out at all the Lightning sites you can.
Read and take notes.
Go to some track events and watch and ask questions.
Maybe get a ride or two.

What your asking is very resonable and there are many combinations that will get you there..

It really comes down to personal prefrence and product support.

Good Luck and look forward to future posts with resuts.

I figured that calling a vender would be the best way to go. but i dont want them to try and sell me THEIR product when there is a better product out there that carries better results. i have been hanging out on this forum and others for a long time, my name just got screwed up or somthing. i have also been modding my truck for a couple of years now and have done just about everything bolt on you could do. im sure that im pushin my motor to its limits. ive dynoed close to 500rwhp and 600 rwtq. my project this off season was going to be to rebuild the motor to ensure its safety, and add a KB and some nos. i understand this question is opinion based, but enough opinions on some parts will help me with my set up. thanks again for all your help.
