I sent the seller some questions as the description is vague. It looks nice but no idea of material, gen 1 or 2, and mounting info.

Do you guys think it will create a heat trapping problem?

It's Gen 2 for sure!

Probably made from a regular F150 hood insulator with emboidery. Should mount right up.

 

I have read about the heat argument , but I thought it was the height of the T/B was a concern for the throttle cable sticking that is the reason they are not on the Ls.

Again, I am 38 and brain cells are dying everyday, but I am sure Tim will set the record straight either way.

It attaches with standard plush-in type plastic fastners use for this purpose.Holes are already in hood. Will fit 1997 to 2004.Material is same as use in auto trunks,pres/fiber very durable
