The banner really helps out to lessen the brightness of the sun's rays especially in Florida.

I guess, if I wasn't too lazy, I could look up the law; but, that is what I've been told. You could be right for all I know. Hell I may even be remembering it wrong. I've been told I was about 1% too dark at inspection; but, they let it go.

I changed my mind. I'm not too lazy to look it up.

Yup. Looks like you are right. I noticed that the 32% was NET and not for the film. That means the film and window combined must be no less than 32%. So if the window is slightly tinted already then putting on 32% tint will put you over the limit. Hopefully I'm figuring this out right.

Heck it don't matter to me anyways... 32% or 35% both look real good on the truck and its not so dark you can't see out of them at night.

Same here. As long as I can get a sticker, I'm good to go.

here's mine. i got 20% on the sides, and a 5" strip of 5% on the windshield. left the rear alone, i paid $45 for my tint. i tipped the guy $10, and he put the sticker under the tint that says it is 35% or lighter (i think a sticker is required in TX to say how dark the tint is, to be legal)

Nice pics, guys. And yeah, smart tip on getting a sticker ref the %. I mean, unless they haul your truck into a lab, its a subjective call from the officer thats pulled you over. The sticker may help if your in a bind. Anyway, the only times Ive heard of police officers give someone a ticket for too-dark of windows is when the driver has really PO'd the officer off. But, better to be safe than sorry.

By the way, Brain, is that 20% tint on the sides just about how the rear window came stock? Do they match, or is the back a bit darker?

the 20% seems to match real well with the factory tint on the rear.

here in houston, some officers carry a device that can measure the darkness of a window tint, but they are few and far between. i asked the cop that works security at my bank, and he said as long as they can shine a flashlight through it, i would most likely not get hassled. he said to not even worry about it, unless i really **** off a cop.

Actually cops around here have a handheld device about the size of a zach morris cell phone. They put it around the top of your window glass and it measures the percentage of light that passes. Then give you a ticket...

Here is an older pic with 35%. I had to get it removed because nothing is legal in DE, i think it has to let like 80% of light in which is almost just a clear tint. So for inspection you have to get it removed, kind of a PITA.
