Question need chip with #2 pulley

My 99 is totaly stock and I'm wanting to get a little extra hp. Can I put in a #2 lb pulley and not have to get a chip or other mods? If I do need other mods please list.

Thanks,

Jboss

Go ahead and add the pulley, nothing else required.

I will have a 2# for sale in a few weeks, I am upgrading to a 4#, I also have a 99.

I ran it without a chip for about 8 months and it was great. For the longest time I would not get a chip. I finally gave in and now i'm wanting more boost. Its like crack

Keep me in mind

I have a #2 lower and a "#1" upper with no chip. You'll be fine...

Yes, you can run a 2lb on a 99 without a chip. I believe the 99/00 stock programming ran richer A/F than the 01+, so you should be fine.

You still won't have the added benefit of advanced timing from a chip, though...

When it blows up, do not blame Ford.

I ran a 4# pulley for quite a while with no problems.

Are you trying to imply a 2# pulley isn't safe?

I get all the right answers then someone says "don't blame Ford when it blows up" which puts a little more hesitation in my decision. Does this guy do warranty work for Ford or what.

Thanks for all the answers

Well, I'm at 125,600 miles now and no real problems. Modded since 5000 miles (not heavy just light mods).

If the warranty is important to you then don't mod at all. Then you can blame Ford....or can you?
