Max Timing Question

I did a search and found nothing for this.

I just got a new tune for a 6lb lower and i asked for it to be a lil more aggressive then the last one i had(4lb 17 degrees timing) and i now have one for 18 degrees timing. I was just curious as to what the most timing someones running safely is / whats the limit ? Thanks Jim

6lb

Jim, use the Predator and advance your timing as much as humanly possible. You're truck will be really fast for a minute!

the plugs looked brand new. I still feel better having the 22's, but that definately wasn't the problem. Someone smarter than me thinks the computer "freaked out" when it read the MAF reading and it was higher than it had ever been. Just disconnecting the battery should reset everything. It's been running better than ever... no problems.

I'm still working on getting a tune

I just contacted a different vendor today, so we'll see if they can send me a tune in less than 2 weeks!

call me before I spend the money I owe you!

HI!... I'm a highly modded N/A 5.4, but MIKE T has my max timing set at 26 degree's. No problems here. On a totally different tune, I went 3 years on almost 30 degree's. Knock sensor data shows it wasn't knocking.

My LOW TIMING PROGRAM (was suppose to be 16 degrees for the Nitrous) turned out to be 19 degree's when Sal Dyno'd it,
WOO HOO......

My 24/7 street program was suppose to be 19 degrees,
I haven't Dyno'd with that Program yet, but we're guessing it's
going to be well over 20, YIP YIP YIPPY YIA..........

I've been driving it, racing it, and killing on those two programs
WELL OVER A YEAR NOW. Making a ton of power and having no prob's at all, (and surly no Detonation), even on pump gas..........

Cold Plugs, throwing a ton of fuel at it, and Multi Spark
DO HELP ME THOUGH
