Keyless Entry Code

I bought my 2003 Sonic Blue L used last month with only 784 miles on it. Problem is, I only received one key and one keyfob. I also DO NOT have the keyless entry code. Seems the card with the code was kept as a souvenier to the last owner. I was wondering if their is any way other than going to the dealer to have that code retreived from the computer. I know years ago, those codes were put on hood hinges etc. Seems that practice has been discontinued.

The code is on the black(?) box on the driver side under the dash.

To get more keys you will need the dealer, or a locksmith with the NGS scan tool. They should give you a key for free.

codes

Keyless entry code is on the computer against the fender on the DRIVER side. Just stick your head under there and you'll see it

Dealer needs to give you two keys, otherwise it's a royal pain in the ***.

What are you talkin about? Under the hood? The ECM is on the passenger side by the kick panel. Is there some other computer you're talkin about?

The brains for the keyless entry IS a box under the dash on drivers side - it has the keyless code on it in a sticker.

If you dont get 2 keys with the truck then it costs a BUNCH to have a second key programmed to work with the PATS system ....

Thumbs up Got it!!

Got it! Thanks to all who replied, it was greatly appreciated. The box is actually a yellowish/white color up under the drivers side dash fender area.

Thank again guys!

Um... yeah....

I meant the interior fender and stick your head under the steering wheel.

My orginal post didn't make much sense...

Unless you got some GREAT DEAL on the truck, I would make a mad dash back to the dealer and make a "scene" for another key
