00L Intercooler fixed?

Hey guys, I bought a 2000 Lightning a few weeks ago. How can I find out if the intercooler has been fixed? I had Ford do an Oasis report and it didn't show anything?

Then there's a good chance it was never done. I bought an 00L back in Jan of this year, had my local dealer run the VIN and it only showed that my truck had the windshield washer thing done. So, mine still has the original, 27K miles & it's holding up just fine (keeping my finger's crossed).

You have 2 options:
Leave it like it is and hope it doesn't go away.
Find an 01 on up intercooler for sale (if I remember correctly, you also need manifold & blower - bolt pattern slightly different - correct me if I'm wrong).

Robert

I guess I will just wait and see. Maybe I will call Ford and check into the "kit."

From: Colorado,
It will fail at the worst time.

XL3Z-9424-AB KIT INTAKE MANIFOLD $894.87 $679.74 $679.74

In the event that it does fail Just unplug the intercooler pump at the pump.
I had to drive mine that way for a while and I could hear the vacum leak through the resavoir tank.

Just do it!

Here is a picture of my old one on the left and the replacement on the right. Hard to see a difference but the one on the right didn't leak.

Man, I really don't want to spend $700 on an intercooler. A chip/pulley would be a lot better Im just gonna keep an eye on the intercooler coolant level.
