Question Howmuch for a 04 lightning?

hey guys,

I thinking of purchasing a 2004 lightning and was asking around for prices. The local dealer where I live, SanFrancisco, has them selling for about $35,000. I thought that was pretty high. How much did you guys get it for? Whats a good price for a new 04?

Also, has anyone put 20inch rims on their lightning? Just wondering how it would look.

SLOwSVT: Is that how much usually it goes for or is it after hours of haggling? i guess I'm wondering how easily they would they a lightning go for 28k. That is a far cry from $35.

um...what is the xplan?
$26000 when I bought mine in 2003.. Dplain + 2 rebates.

Suggestion for California people - fly somewhere dealers sell them for 29-30k and drive it home.

Fly somewhere and buy it is a really good sugestion....I bought mine in Ohio, which is no big deal until you notice that I live in Hawaii. The whole thing was done by mail (no flying) and it cost me $850 to have it shipped from Ohio to Long Beach, CA. I paid 28K. The truck had 76 miles on it. I'll happily deduct the 100 bucks a mile for the deal I got. Go to my profile and e-mail me and I'll happily line you up with the dealer who did it for me. My satisfaction level for the transaction was 10 out of 10.......35K? No Way!

SVT vehicles are perfectly acceptable for X-plans. The problem is that it's at the dealer's discretion to accept them. I shopped numerous dealerships and only 1 rejected the idea. $35,000 is a hoist. Take a vacation and find a willing dealer. They sell in Texas for between $28,500 and $29,500 plus TT&L WITHOUT X-PLANS ! The supply is starting to dwindle here recently, so make your move soon.

You don't necessarily need an X-plan pin. Some dealerships will give you X-plan pricing even without a pin. It never hurts to ask.

I sent an E mail to 5 dealers saying I wanted X plan pricing (I did not have a pin #). One of those dealers called me back in 15 MINTUES and asked me when I was coming to pick up the truck. That was the only dealer that responded to what would have been numerous E mails. I would have just kept going until I found someone who would respond. What an easy to buy a car! Start with the dealers close to you and work your way out.

I bought my 04 L in Phoenix, AZ. No x-paln or D-Plan, just a guy off the street and I paid $28.500.00 no trade-in.
