Ok so I know I am one of the few that like the red 99/00 tail lights better then the lexus style 01's and up. I know that the clears make the Lightning more unique, but I have always loved the 00 tail lights, and something about the red on the blue....

So here it is, let me know what you think. The stock 00 tail's were a lot cheaper then I thought. Under $100 total from Ford!

I can honestly say that I think the red tails actually look better than the clears on Sonic Blue. Put both of the red ones on and be unique.

 

The red one looks better, in my opinion.

 

Both look good, mainly because a Sonic Blue Lightning is a great looking truck. My vote goes for the stock clear tail lights. The clear lights just look better.

 

I'm not a fan of those, but they look good.

 

Go RED those look good, never liked when they went to that oh'so close to ricer look anyways

I think the clear is best on the Blue : '99 - '00 lights look best on a Red one. I've got a friend with an '03 that put the early lights on & they do look good.

I have always liked the clear ones, but those red ones look sweet on your sonic blue truck, very unique too(00 lights on an 04);

 

One of the first changes I made on my red 2003 was to lose the bling lights and replace 'em with the red ones. Anybody that wants a set of 2003's can e-mail me and we'll give them a new home at a good price. Just because they came from the factory that way does not make it right. On silver, white or black, maybe. On red or blue, they've got to be red. I did buy a set of the platinums off e-bay and they were better that the chrome and clear, but the red ones smooth the lines and look like they should. I bought the ones with the backup lights high in the lens and am going to buy another set so I can remove the clear section and replace it with red and move the back ups into the same housing as the license plate lights. Yeah, I'd do that. Requires cutting and gluing, but I will do it. Now, if I can just get rid of the three ribbed look.......
