Jlp Plenums Are Ready!
Jlp Plenums Are Ready!

We Now have our new plenum's ready for sale for those interested call the shop or go to the website JLPRacing.com...
We have done alot of R&D with this unit to make it fit as close to the stock unit as possible, there will be a litttle modifying to the fire wall that will have to be done to have proper clearance,Just a small amount must be pushed back about 1/2" on the passenger side corner ONLY! this will only take a few minutes to do.and will not be visible to the eye once the blower is in place. the unit is a real nice piece and fit is almost perfect! This unit will allow us to use the Huge opening in the KB and therefore make much more power! You will need to monitor the boost levels after the install because the boost will increase anywhere from 2-4# without any pulley change. We will have a detailed instruction sheet made up here shortly. The kit sells for $750.00 which includes the Polished plenum and all the fittings and hardware.......JL
Johnny,
On a KB equipped truck running 16 psi at the shift, CAI, alcohol injection, and cat-back (stock manifolds and cats) would this make a noticeable difference? I've always wondered why the throttle bodies don't make a bigger difference on these trucks, but if the intake is the restriction then it all makes sense.

Who said anything about not wanting it?Didnt you read my first post?I just cant see a custom piece that suposedly has so much r and d into it that u would have to smash in your firewall. Why not just form the plenum differently?I thought the B.F.H comment was a joke.Hopefully Johnny will chime in.
ahh didn't note the BFH. But firstly he did note that it's not visibly noticeable so i doubt its much.
The reason for my comment was more in tune with the naysayers that constantly seem to complain about senseless crap. R&D takes a lot of work, and going fast (at least this kind of fast) isnt always about being fit and finished like beamers. Sorry, a bit misdirected there.
Either way, i seriuosly doubt you'll have to hammer all that hard or that much (although the hammer may be the right tool, i dunno, pliers sounds more like it.)
Oh an if i recall correctly no, it does not fit the eaton. Nor would I imagine the benefits to be too great on the eaton.
