I was going to come on here and tell you to watch out for the solid lifters that are currently available as they are not yet perfected and will loose their adjustment. (We tried a couple of sets on the race truck). Then I saw those beautiful double roller rocker arms....................very nice.

Your thinking correctly. Some smart guy up north of me came up with that idea . We are using chevy wrist pins also. Is that wrong?

Nope
From what I've seen in my engine I wish I would have used the bigger pins in mine too.

I have used big block chevy pins in a buick V6 ....it needed it !

Nice looking valve train. Is anybody else running solid lifters? I would think JL, JDM or Sal would have given them a whirl. I read on the Second Street site that they saw quite a HP and torque improvement over the stock lifters. I am very interested in seeing how they work out for you, please let us know.

I know you're using a light billet crank, did you have it machined down for the 2.0" small block chevy rod bearing as well?

rscoleman, I do not know the size but I believe they are chevy bearings. My understanding is that this was done as many places as possible on the custome pieces. Chevy parts more readily available, strong, less expensive, and proven.
