? for experienced 1/4 milers.

Okay I have a question for the experienced ¼ milers here. Does a freak 60 foot time mess up the total et? I am thinking it could work both ways. If you get a fast 60 foot perhaps the start beam did not trigger properly. However I have been told that it is also possible that the start beam could be fine but the 60 foot beam could be at fault. That would mean that the et could be correct.

If the starting Beam didnt register right it could affect the entire run. but if the 60' beam messed up the ET would still be right!

Yes.....I watched a fellow at Ennis, during a street night test and tune, stage on his rear wheels. The starter tried to get the guys attention, but the poor guy was so stoked about being on the race track, he just stared at the light waiting for a green...LOL.

So the starter hit the button.....can you imagine what kind of 60 foot that guy had...LMAO?????
I bet he spent the next month showing off his new best time slip...and then spent a year trying to figure out why he couldn't do it again.
