Nice weekend
I went outside Saturday morning to put some stuff in the bed and found this:

My wife took the truck to work on Friday, and left some of the RF rim at Burger King.
She said she got out to check the ground effects, and thought she just curbed it. I told her she did curb it, and got the rim.
She didn't see the rim damage? Also, the one she curbed looked like it had been run overinflated (Wife: Not my fault!) and is to the wear bars in the middle.
Rim looks straight, it just got the lip. Would make a good spare/race rim :-).
When we got to school today (she's a teacher, and goes back Monday) she asked if the driver's side tires were low. (Wife: Not worthless, am I?) Pulled out the tire gauge and found both 10 lbs low, and a nail in the back tire.
Who has the best price on a rim and F1's or should I find Nittos, Toyos, or ? Took a quick look on ebay and did see some '01 and '02 rims.
I've only been to the track once, but want to go more! How do the Toyos and Nittos do on street and track?

I can understand your situation.
Thats pretty cool a school teacher getting to drive a L to work.
Why not just lightly sand that rim and let it go at that. I know you want it perfect all the time but if it is her daily ride??????
She prolly feels bad enough about it and if you lay a guilt trip on her your the one thats going to get cut off in the end........
We all make mistakes.
F1's are hard to beat for all around summer use.
I would pay the extra few dollars and get them from a local discount tire store with a road hazard warranty so if you have problems you have a easy, close place to take it. Maybe they will even rotate and check the tire pressure for you since you don't have the time.

Sorry about the rim. My wife put 3 rock chips on my hood in 2 days of driving. She tailgates like crazy.
Check Ebay. I saw a wheel listed on there last week. If it's not there now, more will follow. I see them on there all the time.

There are people/places that specialize in repairing that type of rim damage. I have seen rims after the repairs, and you can not tell they were ever damaged or repaired. Try looking around. It's usually about $60.

When I checked the front it was 10 lbs low today, so I must have just put the hole in it Friday or Saturday. It could have been from the nail in the back one.
I just got back from Good Year getting them patched.
Front: patch would not hold, now on rear.
Rear: patched, now on front.
They want $260 each + M&B for the F1s.
Discount will do $220 w/M&B each.
Nittos are $215 w/M&B each.
Should I get the 555 or the F1?

I will stop at Discount Tire and see just when they can have them, unless I can find a set of take off rims and tires.
