real-time Engine monitoring software?

Hey Guys!!,

I just wanted to say THANKS to all the help with the nitrous system.

My Lightning is in the shop getting a TQ converter, shift kit, 75 shot of progressive nitrous, it-20's, and numberous other things thanks to ya'll.

The only other question I have is can I buy a peice of software that interfaces with my L so I can monitor stuff like tach, A/F, etc etc in real-time if I have a mini-pc behind my seat with like a 15" touchscreen lcd in the middle of my seats, like where the 3rd persons feet go.

maybe we could even have huge lcd readouts of trans temp, boost, A/F exhaust temp plus dvd/navigation sysem.

would'nt that be sick?

Thanks,
Tony

you can run AUTO-tap to data log all the stuff on your truck......Id recomend a wideband for the A/F instead of the stock O2s

I don't understand why no one can offer a self adjusting system?
With on board information displayed for our viewing pleasure, (that we can adjust and tweak of course).

If a factory computer can add "and or" take away timing, and change the Air Fuel, then why can't someone make a complete self adjusting system ??? Imagine how cool that would be if you could allow a system to self adjust keeping you at optimal performance 24/7 at any and all Throttle Position
With an on board display showing you Timing, A/F, maybe EGT and Shift Points, hell maybe even track your 60ft and 1/4 mi times.

Why would that be so hard to do ?

Rob, I dont exactly understand what you want but think SCT has/is working on exactly what you want. You will need to add the wideband 02 sensor and egt sensor ofcourse

well we still have all this emissions cr@p we have to put up with and the stock computer can only correct deviations on the a/f ratio up to 33%, after that the computers is maxed out.

I think our trucks are too computerized and that is what is limiting us.

Heck I heard a rumor that the next Lightning is drive by wire...
Yeah that will be fun, the computer will control EVERYTHING.

Anderson Ford has some sort of piggy back system that allows adjustment of the OCM parameters. If I had a clue I would try it
