hey guys....

sorry I hadn't updated yet, but I was a little embarrased.

I've taken the donation money and relocated to Tiajuana.

where I met the love of my life... Consuela.

isn't she lovely? we are engaged to be married.

just kidding... I wish things were going that well.

the truth is I haven't had much exciting to show or tell. last week was my team's turn to work the "late week" so I didn't get anything accomplished on the engine after work.

I did go to work today(Saturday) and clean the old silicone, grease, oil and crud off of several of the parts that are going to be reused.
such as the powdercoated timing cover, the moroso oil pan, and the blue valve covers.

I took my camera with me to take some pics, as I had intended to start assembling things. but the battery was dead. it stays dead lately, I need to replace it.

the new JDM motor is up on the stand, and the former engine of doom has been reduced to not much more than a bare block on a wooden pallet and a pile of parts on my work bench.

my noisey blower is still at apten, they say that I may have it back this week. either way even if I have to borrow a stock eaton, I plan on having the truck running next weekend.

I'll keep you guys posted. plus I need to keep in touch with everyone who donated because I've got something planned to show my thanks to everyone for their help.

later,
chris

Chris, glad to see that every thing is moving forward!

You know I have always tried to help you but now I see we got to fight!
I want to know where you got that f'n pic. of my woman!

Suavy.

If Apten doesn't get your blower snout fixed I want a shot at it. I just changed the bearins and seal in my blower yesterday.

PS, the reason I was losing boost was that I did not reseal the rotor plate cuz I didn't remove it. I thought that it would be OK as is and just resealed the snout plate! Wrong!
I called Charlew Warner from Magnum Powers who gave me the 411.

Suavy

I concur, let Suavy take a crack at that blower snout. He'll fix it, guaranteed.

Didn't actually hear what happed to the first engine, what was the problem with the bad cyl? All I remember reading about was alot of oil burning and smoking.

it appears to have been a ring gap problem. looks like some of the ring ends butted together.

it might have been repairable, but the long drive home from NY killed it completely.
