Long Block comparisons?

Yes I did a search...

Can anyone sum up the different vendors long block prices and component lists?

Any opinions as to which ones are "better" and why?

I've not compared them let alone come to a conclusion as to who's best.

Howerver I do know what I'd look for. I'd look (AND PAY EXTRA) for the blueprint report.

At the end of the day it really comes down to how well machined, and balanced the assembly is.
Assembly techniques or name brands really are'nt what it's about. Dimensional stabilitly and balance is.

Assembly techniques would be close to the top of my list.
Cleanliness means a lot to me. An engine assembled in a wind storm doesn't stand a chance.

I'm perfectly willing to read through a flame war if there was one, but I couldn't find it.

I'm not asking people to bash vendors, I'm asking them to give their opinions as to what matters...
