To my door it was $570 (thats with shipping). Plus $400 to get it prepped, painted (top n bottom), and installed. It was my first mod, next its getting lowered 2/4.

How much heavier is it compared to the stock hood?

Not much more than stock. I never put it on a scale, but I would say 20lbs more than stock.

That's almost double the weight dude. I'm not saying it'll matter that much, but it is MUCH more than stock!

How about a group buy on a shaker hood?? The Shaker is the only hood i'd ever buy... Functional and just about the same weight.

When I went looking for a new hood, I wanted something aggressive and functional. Suncoast Creations made one that met my demands. It weighs 32 lbs. (12 over stock) but because the scoops are located up toward the front, it actually grabs air and provides additional HP gains on the top end.

Quite a few of the functional ram air Lightning hoods have the air inlets too far back from the front of the truck and end up providing little, if any, true ram air function.

The fit and finish were outstanding and my paint/body guy said it was the best fiberglass aftermarket hood he'd ever seen. I tend to agree!

This is the AAD from the group buy.

It's not 20 pounds heavier ... maybe 8 .... It's
lighter than the Crevani's cause my stock shocks
still lift it and a friend of mine with the Cervanis
has to lift his manually.

20LBS was a guess. the stock shocks still work the same on the fiberglass hood, so i guess it really couldnt be 20lbs heavier. 8 lbs could be right, thats about the same as a gallon of gas.
