The L died twice on the interstate, help?

Ok here is the situation....

I was driving on the interstate and it was a little warm out upper 90's, so I kicked the air on going about 60 mph's. Then 5 seconds later the truck shut off. The gauges went dead, engine service light soon came on, and the mile readout did this (-----------). So I coasted over and shut the L off. Waited 10 seconds and she started up fine and drove perfect.

Then got back on the interstate, and the L almost died again.

I don't know what the deal is...

I get on the L hard it performs great. This is just your normal interstate driving. Overdrive on and rpm's range 1900-2300.

Any help would be great?

My mods are....

JDM Silverbullet catback
JDM Electric Fan kit w/ Cobra R waterpump
PSP Cold air intake system
PSP 4lb. lower
REM Smooth intake tube
SVO Single Blade Throttle Body
Apten Ported Eaton
Apten Smooth upper intake
90 mm Mass Air
Autologic 4-way chip
Dyno tuned By Sal @ PSP

Maybe the chip is loose?

Sounds like your chip could have a loose connection to your factory PCM.

I thought that it might be that.

I never taped it down after the Dyno tune.

I think I just need to take the computer out and tape her down good.

Thanks for the help.

That's Lesson #1 when it comes to chip tuning!

Chip - $250 +

2 Rolls of Duct Tape - $10

Never having to worry! Priceless!

Double fold back the Duck Tape on the cab side of the ECM
and you can get it in and out from the cab without taking
the ECM out. < Grin >

I hope I'm wrong but it may not be a loose chip in that pushing it in(and taping it) will fix it. I had a similar problem and it was the chip in that its contacts were not gripping the PCM's board tightly enough. Taking the chip out and/oe replacing it with another chip 'fixed' my L but of course, the chip still had a problem..............
