NGK TR6's or NGK BR7EF's?

It's time for me to change plugs again. I know it's an ongoing debate, however, I know I am going to stick with NGK plugs.

The main question is whether to go one or two ranges colder. My mods are; 4lb lower, JDM Flipchip (a/f = high 11's), E-Fan, Cobra Waterpump, CAI, Magnaflow Catback.

Some suggest with my mods to stay stock for heat range. I want at least one range colder, but have heard that the BR7's work well too, and they are two ranges colder.

I am currently running TR5's and they do not seem to last worth a damn.

So, One range colder or two? Let's hear opinions.

Thanks!

br-7.

cooler plug = less change od denotation.

anything over a 3# pulley = Br-7
Stock to a 3# = tr-6

I have 8 tr-6 brand new in the box, never opened if you are interested.

but you'll have a crappy idle if you usde br-7 becuase they are 2 ranges cooler than stock plugs.
(*unless you have an SCT chip*)

Heat range? The plug on the right takes care of any pulley setup...

Edit:

Jeff,

The Brisk are working great so far in my truck with a #5 lower and ported blower. I pulled one last night and looked at the burn. It looked perfect.

I have always been told that the TR-6's are good up to 6 lb pulley.

Also that the BRZ's are to cold of a plug for any thing under 18 lb of boost.

i run 18 lb of boost daily and have run TR - 6's and Denso IT-22's I have also burned up both types before. Believe it or not! I blew 3 Densos Sat and replaced them with a set of Chapions one stage colder than factory. I must also say that my truck has never idled or run so smoth before now. Go figure.

BR7EF's here..I had a bout 15000 or so on these and experienced a stutter...one had a ground gone..not that this means the plugs are no good. All the others looked good...only a thousanth gap over install...
Thje iidle is nothing to worry about...a bit rougher than stock..but hey...are you stock?

I am running TR-6's as well with 15lbs.Plugs look like brand new after just changing them with 15K on them.Well that is except for the peppered brown specks.Other then that they look mint.Tr-6's went back in as well.
