Post Thanks to JDM & Excessive Motorsports

Everyone,

Let me be the first to say thanks to Jim & Julie @ JDM and Torey and Chris @ Excessive Motorsport Manassas VA.

We had our first local SCT dyno tune weekend and it was a blast!!

JDM came down Friday to spend the weekend tuning and dynoing at Excessive. As usual, we did some BBQ'ing and BS'ing. We found the SCT tuned trucks to be pretty awesome. I mean the A/F ratios were looking very, very clean and sweet. HP & TRQ gains were consistently about 10-15hp for the average bolt-on truck. Post tuning comments were all very, very positive for the drivability improvements of all trucks.

It was my first time to work with the programmers and it was very easy to change tunes and do things the user needs to do.

Here are a couple pics taken by SouthJersey USA:

Stand by for more pics....

Yes, I'm pleased to say that the new JDM motor was picked up today and made it back to Richmond safely. although we got caught in a torrential downpour as soon as we hit I-95south just outside of Manassas. luckily I had an extra Summit engine bag to help protect the new motor.

by the looks of things I missed the big turnout on Saturday (damn job always getting in the way of the fun stuff) I really enjoyed visiting the Excessive Motorsports shop and getting to meet some more Lightning enthusiasts and folks from the boards that were in attendance today!

thanks for the BBQ Chicken and drinks!

thanks to the folks at JDM for bringing the new motor down with them!

and again, it was nice meeting the guys from Excessive and all of the other Lightning people that I got to talk with today!

Brian, I'll see what I can do about getting you those numbers by Friday.

later,
chris

P.S. here it is:

Oh, I think you will do that yourself, with the dumping of mass quanties of nitrous thru your motor in an attemp to outrun my "nearly stock" truck

I'm already looking forward to NVLOPE's fall fried Turkey event Brian was telling me about! It was a nice time with a lot of really awesome cars and trucks to check out. Excessive is a nice full service performance shop. I heard a rumor that Fast Gator's (work) was going to Leann's party?!
