Angry Ford won't replace fog lights

Took my truck to Gwinnett Place Ford here in Duluth, GA. The fogs are cracked from the inside just like alot of the ones I have read about. They won't fix, insisting its from debri from the outside

Unless your warranty is out, there's no way I would have left w/o lots of fussing.

They told me the same thing, but I asked how could they crack from the inside w/ debri.

Another thing, if rocks can do that kinda damage, y isn't the bumper torn up?

Should I go back? Should I go to a different Ford? Maybe non SVT? If I go back who should I ask to speak to when they deny me again?

I would have forced the service rep down on his knees, pulled his head back buy his hair and gave him 10 inches to choke on while he comtemplated a process in which he should utilize to replace my fog lights.

Ask for the Service Manager. If he's lame, ask to speak with the dealership General Manager. To back down to the first moron you encounter will get you nowhere.

I went to a non SVT dealer and they treated me like a idiot I called a SVT dealer 15 miles away and they looked at it and warrented them no questions asked. This was the 3rd time they were changed 2 times before I got the truck. Call SVT they know of the problem that is why they changed them for 03.

My dealer replaced my left one twice. The second time they didn't have one in stock so the mailed me a new one with the condition I mail the old one back so they could warranty it.

From: Colorado,
Block the lane right there at the service desk with you truck and refuse to move it. Tell them you have the day off and are willing to wait as long as it takes.
I don't think I want to risk using the ones on my 04. They look nice and don't have the metal reflector. But I don't trust them yet.

My 99 were all cracked to peaces and still worked.

Does anyone make a off road chrome grill that is that small?
Something like they use on Baja 500 style lights.

I think taking the master of pain with you is the best idea

Your first mistake was believing what the service writer told you. Go back to the dealership and ask to speak to the service manager. Yelling, cussing or making threats will get you no where, except trouble and no satisfaction. Speak with respect and most times you will be given respect in turn. Ask the service manager to run his fingernail across the crack, and it will be plain as day, that it is a heat crack.

If you get nowhere with the service manager, call SVT yourself, and call the regional Ford rep. Their numbers are in your owners manual.
I had my foglamps replaced 3 times under warranty. I have a cracked one now, but my warranty expired last March. But in reality, my warranty was up 6 months after I took delivery
