Drop Kit question.
Drop Kit question.
i just ordered belltech 2'' front springs and the 2'' rear shackles. am i going to need new shocks along with the springs for the front? already re-positioning the sway bar and might take a rear leaf out. what do you guys think? Thanks Jim
I would look into getting some new shocks. I'm not sure if the stock Bilsteins will be able to handle that drop. You can look into the QA1s or Doetsch Tech. QA1s are pretty expensive and have heard some people complaining about the shocks durability. I am going with a Belltech 3/4 drop with the Doetsch Tech shocks. By the way, didn't you already order front springs?
i just ordered the springs a day ago. i did go with the 4804 springs along with the "2" inch shackle. The front is supposedly a true 2 inch drop but not the back. I have heard too many bad things about the QA1's to order along with the wait. what shocks are decent?

designed operating range. You can still run them, they
just won't last or perform as well as a fitted shock.
That's why the Roush Kit has new Bilsteins in it ... But
you get what you pay for or can afford.

Do you by chance know what the Roush front coil rates are? It seems Roush is pretty top-secret about divulging them.
Also, how are your Roush-spec Bilsteins fairing with the increased springs rates of your coils/leafs?
