Arrow Procharger F1R - early testing results

Well, we finally got the Big Red Machine up and running again. I can't say it was a fun job, but hopefully it will be worth it in the end. I got it on the dyno today for the first time with the Procharger setup. After working out a few initial bugs, the power started to come up. Right now, I am seeing about 22 psi at higher rpms. It starts out at about 15, then shoots up as rpms climb. Right now, I am having cog belt issues, most likely due to blower bracket flex, so it's throwing the belt off at about 4800 rpms. But so far we are seeing 616hp and 669 ftlbs, with the run ending at 4800 due to the belt. This is with a conservative 16 degrees of timing. The torque curve is amazingly much higher than the hp curve throughout almost the entire rpm range.

I just wanted to share some early results with everyone. Most of you guys know I never hide anything and am always open with the good and the bad of what happens with our test truck.

Oh, and don't ask to see the dyno graph, I'm not posting them until we have the final results .

Excellent Sal. I build a simple support bracket for every ProCharger I use. They will move around quite a bit without it. Surprising how little it takes to hold the plate in place.

I'm impressed, but I know what those centrifugals are capable of.

Awesome, seen it in person(not complete) but it is a sick looking setup. No doubt that thing will be laying the smack down soon enough.

Sal, you did not get back to me on coming in Saturday yet, but now that the truck is up and running I am just going to swing by anyhow to check it out.

Dang, I wonder how much HP you are going to get when you get to 6000 rpms and bump the timing up to 20 with race gas? Oh, I forgot that centrificals suck.

I am starting a betting line on what the peak number will be.

I say 837/979

How much boost does the Procharger F1R support up to? Did you do anything different with the motor for the Procharger or is it very similar to your run of the mill off-the-shelf built longblock?

Very nice!

Looking forward to seeing what the high-rpm, high-boost, high-timing #'s look like
