are tr6's = to stock plugs?

I've read where some have said that they are stock plugs and others have stated that they are 1 range cooler. When I went to the ngk site under the Lightning it only showed tr6's as the match. (also i could cross reference ar-103 to tr6's)

The strange thing was that tr6's would cross reference to it-20's however if I look for the ones for a lightning it would come up as it-16's? (this was not on the ngk site)

BTW I'm thinking of a 2# and microtuner 1715 with a 170 t-stat, so I am wondering if I should replace the plugs if they are equal to stock and/or if its even necessary with 2#?

Thanks.

i'm pretty sure your stock plugs will work just fine for just a 2 lber. I you decide to go 4lb or more, thats when you should go with colder plugs. I believe the tr-6's are one colder than stock. The NGK Br7 are 2 colder.
