Those with "Lakewood like" traction bars

When you installed these, how much distance did you leave between the bump stop on the bars, and the leaf spring mount?
Any other tips that you have found over time?

The directions call for 1/2 gap on passenger side and 3/8" on drivers side.
Be sure to place rear-end on jack stands while installing.

I have read that some had interference with the exhaust on pass. side.... anyone know how to get around that obstacle? I also saw something about the brake lines being in the way... no problem as those can be persuaded out of the way and even covered with plastic or rubber material for extra protection.

I used 1/2 drivers side and a little more passenger side. No exhaust issues for me. Took about 1 hour with adjustment and everything.

Brake lines shouldn't be a problem.
As far as the exhaust being in the way, set the snubber
just before the through-bolt area. It will work fine.
Be sure to place the drivers side in the same area.

I left a 1/8 inch on mine for track...and 1/2 inch for the road.

I put them on last night, and it seemed like there were not enough shims provided to make this gap. They were touching when I tightened down, and I drove it that way to see how it worked. I had no problems, and I could tell they were there. The ride was not bad, and no squeaks or rattles. Can I just leave it as is without any ill effects? Launching will still be OK?

I used all of the shims provided on one side to get the gap. I would try to make some shims if I were you so they wouldn't touch.

Cut a nub off the snubber.

I think it is up on the east side somewhere. I have never been there, but I believe Marc Carpenter has been there. If this is the track I am thinking of, it runs uphill.
