Hey Guys,

I haven't been a huge poster on here but I read it all the time. I bought a 2001 Lightning on Sep. 5, 2001. And sadly 3 weeks ago I traded it for a 2002 Dodge quad.

Oh the horror!

OK but the story has a happy ending. I couldn't live without my L, so Saturday I bought myself a Sonic Blue one! I know people either love the Sonic Blue or the hate it. But I think it's a GREAT color. And I'm sure anyone who's ever done it will agree that after driving a Lightning, every other truck is just a dog.

You know the funny thing is for the three weeks I didn't have a Lightning I was still here every day reading the forum.

You ever plan on having your L in the Rapid City Area? If so you should let me know so that we can get together. Lightnings out here are rare.

Yeah I'm out at the base. I wont be in the area for Sturgis though. I'm TDY over in the big sand box right now. Been here little over 4 months and have about 2 more to go. As for my job out at the base, I'm a cop. You know a lot of people from the base?

 

No I don't know anyone in particular out there (except for you now!). I use to have a buddy that worked in a hole in the ground out by Faith, SD. But I think he's out now. And I'm pretty sure all the missiles are too.

At any rate, thanks for serving, man. This whole Nation should be thanking you. And get your butt back over here ASAP and safe and sound, OK?
