Going back to the dealer already
The clunk is definittly worth looking into. There is a good 1/2 inch of travel possible from one end to the other.
I removed the aluminum clunk washers I got from Herb that were on my 99 and installed them right away on my 04. They had about 20Kmiles on them and were just fine. I think the stainless steel would be the way to go since Herb doesn't make them now.
My 04 is the Charcoal Gray and I have waxed it already. Didn't see any of the paint flaws you mentioned.
I ran my air conditioner for quite a while today and when I parked it in my slopped driveway (front end up) I noticed the condensate dripped for over 1/2 hr and the puddle was back to the rear tire.
I felt around best I could on the passenger carpet but it felt dry.
Leann, as long as your taking it in be sure and check that issue out. It seems to be a problem with some of the 03 and 04's.
The carpet getting wet from the AC running on the passenger side.
I am very happy with everything else except the seat belt alarm. That thing is a bigger nag than my X wife.... The trouble is both of them were right most of the time

Wear your seatbelt and you won't have to deal with the alarm.

WARNING: Do not try this on the wife, it will not work!
Geesh SVT is supposed to be Fords top of the line. You would think SVT vehicles would not have these issues.
Hell my intercooler pump wasn't working from the day I drove it off of the lot. Not understanding how the L is really suppose to perform I didn't know the difference and I thought is was the chit until I rode in my friends. I had that bad boy back to the dealer ASAP!
Hold the dealers feet to the fire SlowSVT95.

Yeah, I was there. I only saw one white 04 there, so I'm assuming that was you.
