when should I chip the truck??

Should I wait and put all my mods on first? Or if I chip it and put on a smaller blower pulley and larger crank pulley will I have to have it reburned? My plans are this

JDM headers and no cat mid pipe
4# pulley and 2.8 pulley on the SC
Much later down the road PP supercharger
Hotchkis suspension (which will not affect the chip)
and some new chrome rims....staying with 18's I do not believe in anything bigger.

Don't remember which route I took when I begun my mods, basically I did most everything at one time. Then went to a built engine etc.

If you chip it first then change pulleys yes you will need to reburn your chip.

Why not wait till Fun Ford Weekend Sept 17th - 19th in Ennis Tx, not to far from where you are, and meet the JDM crew in person and get all your mods done at one time.

different strokes for different folks

if your the type that likes to hit the dyno after every mod to see progress then you can go that route,
personally its a pain in the ***, and extra money put out for reburns

do what jarmstro is recomending and have JDM do it in one shot.

i wouldn't recommend the upper pulley as you end up with to many problems with belt slippage, been there and done it with the 4 and 6.
go the 6lb pulley way. your gonna lose a 1lb of boost with the header install anyways.
do a search on the benfits of a chip or predator. A dyno tune is the way to go but more exspensive.

good luck

Give JDM a call 732-780-0770 and have them bring the parts with them when they come. Keep in mind this is the finals and everybody is going to be busy, but I know they can get everything done for your truck just be patient.

It will not be hard to find the JDM camp..... just look for the big circus tent and all the Lightnings.

Above all else have fun and enjoy yourself. Bring your wife or girlfriend (not both though). The Lightning community is top notch and great people.
