you're just talking about pads, right?
The performance friction pads grip well and stop well, but they're infamous for eating rotors. I'd go with the hawk superduty compound or the NAPA ceramic.

Ditto! The Performance Frictions I used lasted about 10,000 miles. They literally ate about 1/16" off each side of the rotor. These 10,000 miles were purely street miles on my '01. I've had good luck with OEM Ford pads as well as Hawk HPS's.
