Another Lightning owner says goodbye
Another Lightning owner says goodbye
I just got done taking a couple of pictures, This will be one of the last ones with me still owning my Lightning. Bringing it down to New Jersey in about two hours to deliver it to the new owner. It makes me sad,
but it will work out ok in the long run. It will give me more time to spend with the family (wife and 2 year old son) on my vacations than going off to some other state to race. As much as I will miss it and the people, I know it is the right thing to do..
I will still be able to follow the life of the truck, I am sure the new owner will have it in "Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords" magazine every now and then.

Ah Jees-us Bill, say it ain't so! You were one of the best people around here, both on the boards, and at the race track. We will miss you, and I hope I will run in to you at New England Dragway once in a while, even if you just come up to spectate, or hang with the Lightning crowd. Well, glad you know you made the right choice, and good luck!

Bill,
Sorry to hear about your truck... Definitely one sweet ride!!!
We had some great times around NJ, VA and NH...not to mention the tequilla bottle. Bettina and I had hoped to make it to NH this year, but its looking like we are heading to St Thomas instead....
Hopefully the new owner will maintain the look and the attitude that made MLNIUM.
Be sure to keep in touch and we will catch up one of these days!!!

Heres hoping that the "White Beast" will be treated as well as the original owner treated it.
Maybe "Lightningitus" will rear it's ugly head somewhere down the road again.
Wishing you and your family the very best, Bill.

Bill,
you've been extremly helpful and always willing to help a Brother out (even little old me)
It was a pleasure to meet and see you run in the past, and this place will not be the same without you, SO DON'T GO.
Sell the truck I understand, enjoy the Family, waaaaaaaaaaay more important, but stick around.
BEST OF LUCK

wow
Here's a shocker for ya. Sorry to hear the Lightning is going. If you ever get a fix, your welcome to take mine down the track anytime. Probably won't be as much fun as yours though. Hope to still catch you at NED every hear and again, unfortunately I wont make FFW this year (damn weddings!!!).

Yeah Right. I just got off the phone with Bill. He is delivering the L to its new owner as we speak.
I had NO idea he was even selling it, but after talking to him I support his decision and wish him the best of luck.
I had always considered his L to be the top of the heap. He was usually a step or two at least ahaed of everybody else for a long time and after a while it takes its toll on family and finances.
Running a fast , built motor truck is NOT cheap and definately has down sides.
Bill you will ALWAYS be tops in my book.
VINNIE
