What would you spend 3000 on?
Open question on mods for my lightning truck.
Try to hold back on some random parts.(i.e girls, a better wife etc)
My mods so far.

With 3 grand this is what I would get in your shoes...
Magnum Powers blower
Slicks/Wheel combo
Traction bars to save your Drive shaft
Drive shaft safety loop
Of course you would need a re-tune and maybe a different size pulley but JDM would be best to talk to about that stuff...
PS, that would get you well under mid 12's.
I run 12.6@107 with
6# pulley
Cold Air intake set up
160 degree stat
Slicks
Traction bars
Diablo Chip
DSSL
Magnum Powers blower
Slicks/Wheel combo
Traction bars to save your Drive shaft
Drive shaft safety loop
Of course you would need a re-tune and maybe a different size pulley but JDM would be best to talk to about that stuff...

If I had $3,000 for the truck to spend right now, I would go for some longtubes and midpipes. The rest I would dump into suspension (swaybars, panhard, and maybe Ruslow fire-slotted/dimpled rotors).
