Congrats on getting the L. There are a whole lot of factors involved in racing. Best thing you can probably do for know is get some good seat time in and try to race when its the coolest. What mods have ordered?
Iv'e noticed that the heat and humidity change the performance. I was in Houston this weekend and the L didn't have as much pick up. It does run better in the mornings when it's a little cooler.
Congrats and welcome, yeah, get some time behind the wheel and get to know your truck really good before actually racing, know it's capabilities and tendencies so you can handle the power and braking on the street, it's always safer to know your truck.
