Raoring noise

Over the past few days my truck has developed a roaring/grinding noise at idle. It sounds like a rough bearing but I dont know. Is there any thing I should check on or any ideas what the problem may be?

I've had cracked flywheels sound like that. Funny thing, the noise would go away when rpms increased,

I cleaned my IAC and that made it idle so much smoother. But the roaring noise is still there. Someone told me one time that there is a small black plastic think on the supercharger that sounds like a coffee grinder if it is bad, but i cannot find it?

Surely someone out of all these lightning owners have to have an idea?

From: Colorado,
Bearings on your idler pulleys

Tension pulley

Alternator bearings

Clutch fan

Roaring noise is not enouph of a discription to help.

Taking a long screwdriver or wooden dowel you can place it against different spots and hold it up against your ear. The sound should travel up and get louder as you get near the problem.

okay, I may try that. I can hear the noise best when I am behind the right front tire and under the truck, so that makes me think it is in the bottom end of the motor.
