Anyone ever see a lower pulley like this?



I just thought i'd share what they come from. i made mine at work the first week i bought the truck. i was just going through some pics i had and found it. (NO I CAN NOT MAKE ANYBODY A PULLEY LIKE THIS>>>>SO PLEASE DONT ASK)

notice how the hub is split. i made it that way so it would interchange.

How do you remove the outer ring, and what keeps it from comming loose??

Nice Job! Wish I had access to a few more tools. That would make a nice school project.


If your countersinking a bolt or two to tighten the split I would consider spin balancing it?

Actually the entire pulley comes away from the hub, using the three mounting bolts.(it's a registered fit) The piece of aluminium i had wasn't thick enough, so i had to make part of the hub out of a smaller piece of aluminium... so if i want to interchange it, i can. doubt i ever will though, it's so much faster to make an upper pulley of my choice. i don't have any belt slippage and the material is alot easier to come by (for free).
