Distance from Boston to PSP, JDM and JLP

I'll be going to Boston for work (M-F) for a few different weeks and I'd like to (depending on how far away they are) see these shops. Could somebody tell me if it is even feasible to do so. I won't have my lightning with me, but it would be cool to get to see all these shops that many of you talk about.

just drove to JDM's shop from CT, 150 miles took about 2 1/2 hours, I'm about 25min from hartford, and about 1 1/2 hours from boston so I would say atleast 4 hrs from boston, if you don't get lost.

it is 300 miles from boston to JDM, about 4.5 hours
Take the mass Pike to rt 84 follow 84 all the way into NY state, then take 684 for about 30 miles then 287 west over tappenzee bridge, then Gardenstate parkway to exit 123 which is rt9 south. follow it about 20 miles to rt 9 go east about 2 miles, and you basically there.

PSP should be about the same

JLP prop is about 100 miles more

I am about 7 miles from boston

haha

Don is the boston to JDM guru........however.......driving in the NY area can always be tricky due to who knows what. I followed his exact directions and almost ended up at JLP because of detours and the fact we go stuck in monsoon rain at night. Almost 8 hours to get to the Days Inn right down the street. If you have the time, I'd recommend it. Cool place to spend the day. You'll learn alot and meet alot of cool people.

I would go 93S to 95S to Gardenstate or Jerseypike much shorter. Or you can take any ferry to Port Jeff to Sals in Long Is. nice boat ride less driving on the LIE. Jersey I'd use the pike or garden. But thats just Me ! happy motoring.. Oh Yes Rand mcnally.com has a better search then mapquest but, thats just Me!

dons directions are perfect, I just drove to JDM on wednesday. I took the 95s route on the way down and got lost, I took the 84/684/287 route on way home and it only took me 2 1/2 hours to get back. alot less confusing.

Nice trip but 84 is 1/2 hour longer and 30 miles longer. trust me I drove it for 30 years both ways

I usually go 95S to the hutch(follow the signs to the GW Bridge) then to the NJ Pike. If I have a trailer I take 95 to the bridge to the pike. Time all depends on traffic. I have done it it 2hrs but it has also taken as many as 4+ from the BPT area of CT. -Mat-

screw that

Don's Direction take you over the Tapanzee, so technically, yes it's longer.......but if you hit traffic in the city, see ya later. That's what happened to us. We went east instead of west because it was raining so hard we couldn't see the signs, ended up on the cross bronx over the GW sitting there for 2 hours not moving. Sucked.

Thanks for the info guys. The very reason why I didn't just want to rely on mapquest. Distances vs how long it takes is so different depending on where you are at. Plus mapquest doesn't always give the best route.
