"The braking system utilizes heavy-duty components, including four-piston calipers, with 15-inch rotors in the front and 14-inch rotors in the rear"

Wow! I wish our trucks had brakes like those!

Saw It!

I saw the Quad Cab in Cincinnati over the weekend of the 4th! Something didn't look quite right, but I just couldn't place it. I was snooping around under the rear end to get another look at the factory traction bars (that the standard cab has), while the wife was checking out the interior. Well, guess what? No traction bars. We both caught on to what was up at about the same time.

Nice pickup, looks decent, great interior, VERY expensive, slower than my Lightning by a bunch.

Well at least they made a few changes for the best

Four-speed automatic transmission

48RE gearbox, adapted from a diesel engine application for its ability to handle large amounts of torque

Heavy-duty torque converter

AND A FEW MISTAKES

two-piece drive shaft, chosen for powertrain performance.

4.56 gear ratio

Two piece driveshafts have always been trouble,
and 4.56 gears surly aint going to give it 150 MPH top ends,
unless they got an overdrive like we've never seen before

So as usual Dodge is playing it out to be a Performace Truck,
THIS IS NOT A PERFORMANCE VEHICLE
It's stupid if you ask me, kinda like Ford using the monster V-10's in a van, "makes no sence", stick with a diesel if you want a truck, make it look GOOD if you want a Performance Vehicle.

We knew when we came out with the world's fastest production pickup that there would be customers who would want that same ultimate performance, but in a pickup that offered four-passenger seating and towing capability. So, the question was, 'Can we create a more usable truck for the person who wants to haul more stuff, but is not willing to give up performance?' Our answer is the Dodge Ram SRT-10 Quad Cab: a truck that is just as bad and bold in terms of performance, but a little more capable and versatile in terms of hauling.

So now some poor "unknowing buyer", thinks he can buy this and go 150 MPH, Whoop a Lightning's Butt, use it as the family car, and work truck. NOT
Waste of a good motor if you asked me.....................

And if they do run 11's and 12's,
FORD BETTER GET OFF THEIR A$$ AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

Rob, I agree on the 4.56 gears although since the motor does make a very nice torque curve, it might have a very high overdrive. As far as everything else, its exactly the same thing as a Harley 2 piece drive shaft and all. At least they didnt detune it like Ford did for the Harleys.

I like it

Automatic and Quadcab and it can tow 7500lbs.

Perfect Tow Vehicle! 52K huh.... I think I'd want a C6 Z06 first.

I probably would have bought one instead of a lightning but due to the fact I can't stand Harley Davidson anything I didn't want to ride around in something thats plastered with it.

I mean what does a pos motorcycle have to do with a Supercharged Ford Truck anyways?

I couldn't agree more!! If there weren't holes behind the HUGE decals, I would have removed them day one. HD had nothing to do with why I bought the truck. I would've got a Lightning, but I like more room than a regular cab truck. My future plans for the truck involve a total removal of everything HD.

Regular cab...Quad cab...manual...auto...the more choice, the better. You can't blame them for marketing what people want.

I drove by a black SRT-10 at a local dealership and man I like the looks...needs to be droppped about six inches all around...The one I looked at was loaded and they were asking about 47000.00..which was list..not gouging as as I hear most are....So..Mr BarbequeMan
