I have seen kits to convert the stock hood into a shaker. Search pulled 3 topics, all about the entire hood. I would like to keep my stock hood, because I know it fits. I don't mind cutting a hole in it, that doesn't bother me. Trying to fit a new hood, and have it open/close like the original is another thing.

Question is this. Has anyone seen a kit to do what I want? Thanks in advance.

That's what I am looking for Vin, thanks. I can make that ****ional. I do alot of sheet metal fabrication at work.

 

stylingconcepts.com has a functional hood uses airraid box kit looks good made by Keystone. I have one of their wings that is solid. I think it's $895.00

 

I guess I wasn't clear enough. I would like a shaker hood KIT that lets me cut a big *** hole in my perfectly good stock hood. I have seen these shaker hood kits for about 400 bucks. I saw the hood kit on Horsepower TV one saturday mornin nursing a hangover.

 

I also saw it on HP TV, but they put it on a Mustang; remember going to the mfgs website and trhey didn't make it for an L.

Also seemed VERY expensive; by the time you got done with it, you might as well go buy the whole shaker hood.
