Raced a SRT-10...

Well I'm going to keep it short because I'm working right now. A couple of days ago I was on my way back home from work and I saw it. The thing I've been waiting to race. The SRT-10. He was heading the opposite direction on a four lane 30mph road. So I turned around, zipped through traffic and met up with him at a red light. I revved my engine loud as chit, but he didn't pay attetion to me. So I'm not going to step on it on a 30 mph road for nothing(or so I thought.) When the light turned green he freaking took off like crazy. I was like crap. about 1 1/2 to 2 seconds later I pressed the pedal harder and faster then ever before. About 3 intersections went by while I was sucking him up pretty good. I swear as soon as I was passing him up the freaking light about 1/4 of a mile turned yellow so we both slammed are brakes on. I got to the light first. He drove up on the right side of me. I let the passenger side window down and asked if he wanted to go to a better place because there is just to many lights around here. He thought about it for a second and said that he had stuff to do. He took a right . Then I just burned out and went home.

I had the air conditioner blastin' also...I didn't turn it off because I didn't think he was going to race.

One more thing...I know it's bad to race on the streets but I couldn't resist.

1- You have a slow reaction time

2- Pressing the pedal down as fast and hard as I can would = a lot of smoke and me not moving. Do you use slick on the streets?

3- You revved at him. Even if he didnt react wouldnt you be ready for a race?

So basically you didnt race anything, flew through intersections and did a smoke show at the end for fun.

Sorry but this story is kinda... ahhh forget it.

Don't matter. At WOT, the compressor is off, to not cause it to burn out. The only time you really dont want to have it running is when in the staging lanes... you'll get a bunch of chit from the tech and others for dripping water all over the place (especially on those hot, muggy days).

Too bad you didn't get another shot at him. Would have been a lot of fun, I'm sure.

I have seen 3 of those trucks near me. Never driving though...always in a parking lot or a driveway......one day...one day. Im hoping that some will show up at the track this winter. Hopefully by then I will have a 12 sec truck.

Taylor, do you ever come to the Waco area for a little show and tell. We have been trying to get some of these Ls out here to show off a little.

Where were you at? I haven't seen one here yet. I have seen that stupid yellow hemi a.k.a. "rumble bee" "bumble bee" "wanna bee" whatever it is all the time, but no SRT-10.

I had a guy in a SRT10 look alike with a hood scoop beeping and trying to get me to race just yesterday. I gave him the thumbs up and let him get like 4 lengths ahead of me and then hit it. blew past him in no time...
it is so funny how people just look to cause trouble when I am in my L.

I was in my civic this morning and I had a guy with a z28 revving and wanting me to race. I was no competion for him but I hit the Nitrous switch and took off. I was about 1 car in front for about 100-150ft. Not a race by far but I bet I was infront of him much longer then he was expecting

BTW: I think it was a kill, you scared him off. If he thought about it he was not thinking about if he was busy but if he will lose.
I guess we know what he decided.
