Question Staggered tire sizes?

Hello all! Looking at some Tire/Wheel combos. I am thinking about getting a smaller set for the front (275/50/20) and a larger set for the rear (305/45/20). How does the Lightning react with this "staggered" combo? Has anyone had any issues or opinions about using wider wheels in the back than the front? I know it doesn't matter much (actually helps) in a drag racing setup. Looking for a good handling street appliction. Any thoughts would be gladly considered.

ps- searched on this subject and didn't come up with much. Might not have worded the search right If this has been discussed in detail before, let me know what words to look for and I will search again! Thanks!

I edited my post, I was wrong. The tires are pretty much same height, so what I said was wrong.

305's aren't that much different ... now if
you were going with a 12 inch wide wheel !!!

I am most concerned with the fronts being skinnier. A 255 or 275 is a big difference from 295. I just hope it won't promote more understeer in a cornering situation.

I could go with 335 Michelin Pilots in the back! 13 1/2" patches of pavement!

Here are the wheels I'm looking at. What do ya think? I like them because they keep a close homeage to the '03 wheels, but they have a little more "edge". They are by Boyd Coddington.

The front wheels will have about a 2.5" lip and the rears will have a monster 4" lip!
