I was driving down the road today, and I heard a rattling noise. Just then I felt something hit my foot. I looked down and it was a LARGE bolt that fell out from under the dash!!! I said to my-self, "Hmm, something tells me that goes to something important!". I stop on the side of the road and look under my dash. It is the F*cking bolt that connects the rack to the yoke on the steering colum!!! It just fell out! WTF! Good thing I had my tool kit with me. I just put it back in and limped it home. When I got home, I took the bolt back out and put some Lok-Tite on it and reinstalled it.

I am just glad I wasnt going down the highway or something. If I would have hit a pot-hole, that connection would have come apart and "BYE-BYE streering"!

Moral of the story: Everybody go out tonight and check the torque on the "Jesus Bolt" under your dash before you unnexpectedly "get off track".

Or down the track. Damn that could have been terrible. Glad you got home safely and got her fixed up....and yep I did check the "Jesus Bolt" on mine.
