Are the shaker hoods hard to install? Where can you get them from and how much? I thought I read a thread that there were only a small number of those hoods made. Am I wrong about this?

Easy install. Be sure to have your paint & body guy to do a prefit.
This will ensure a good fit. Mine needed a little extra fiberglass on
front corners. It's still not perfect, but I'm content.
LFP has them for 850.00 shipped.

Looks AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the shaker look. Can you still buy those or did they stop production? Do you know the weight of the hood + scoop?

My set-up with the stripe stands me $250.00. And it's a real shaker, not fiberglass.

That's what I want, a real shaker setup. I'm not going to pull air through it, I just like the look! What do I need to make this happen?

Spill the beans!!!!!!!!!

If you want a real shaker it has to come from Ford or you could get lucky like I did and score one on Ebay. You need the scoop, weather seal and base. To install you will need to fabricate brackets and ductwork as well as cut a hole in your hood. I'm still finishing mine, ductwork and final hood trim are left. I did it two weeks ago.
