Need roll cage help
Need roll cage help
looking thru the threads on roll cages i would have to agree that Don bolt has one sweet setup.
As i will be getting me truck back next week (built bottom end)
200 shot of nos, just doing the dyno tune i believe i should be able to hit the 10's. should be able to hit high to mid 11's without the nos.
my problem is that my truck is a daily driver work truck. i also have a lo rider fiberglass tonneau cover on as i need to lock stuff up in the truck bed.
So has anyone done this or heard of it being done and will it pass Nhra inspection at the track.
Is it possible to have the bars that come thru the window into the box be removeable.
this way i could still use my truck for work and pleasure(camper)
and then head to the track twice a month.
thanks

The rear bars can not be removable. From your description for what you use your 'L for don't even add a cage or you might want to consider getting yourself a daily driver work truck.

There was a rumor that NHRA was going to change the roll bar requirements for trucks. Instead of the two bars going from the main hoop through the window and welded to the frame, a full halo type cage inside the cabin would also be acceptable. I suggest you contact NHRA to check this type of cage.
