Oil change

How many quarts of oil do the Lightnings hold? Its time to change my oil and I dont have a owners manual.

6 qts including the filter.

i run 6 plus 1/2 for the filter and its on the line

Use 6qts and 6qts only. Don’t worry about the hatch marks on the dip stick because they can be wrong. I use 6qts (including the filter) and it comes up to about half way in between the hatch marks. I used a scribe and marked my dipstick so now I know the “true” full line…

Just like too little oil can harm a motor so can too much oil as well…

I just changed mine last week and put in 6qts. Mine checks out to be full on the dipstick.
