Custom fiberglass gauge pod. Pics Inside!

Well just got my dash back from a buddy who did a custom gauge pod into it for me.

I had to use a buddies camera which I don't know how to use (wife went on vacation and took my camera) to get some quick shots before I put it back in. My buddy is going to stop by later and I'll get some better pictures.

Now that is F'in PERFECT..

Stealthy , yet trick.

2 guages work perfect. (3 would have been to many)

I had thought of something like that but never thought it would look good.

You proved that theory wrong.

One of the best mods I have seen.

If he decides to make more, put me on the list.

I doubt he will make any more, it took a lot of hours for him to make this one. I'll ask anyways.
Here are some better pictures.

that is very nice! What did he use for the gauge mold? I probably would have tried PVC pipe.

haha

looks good but i think i would need the huble telescope to read them. I have trouble reading my speedo.....at least that's a good excuse for the cops..........hehe. It's funny that i have a three guage pod and NEVER look at them when I make a pass. I get tunnel vision.......haha.

This is no lie, I have 3 and the only one I look at at night is the LED's on the A/F cause its so cool!

But its rare i scan them when I stomp it..Only after new mods, then after awhile, back to straight ahead..Guess the looking ahead can't be faulted

Ona the best custom mods ive seen. Great idea, i'd love to try something like that but i'd be too scared, i'd have to go find a spare dash to tinker with. Could you find out what parts he used, or a design for us to try, if he wouldnt do anymore. Thanks

re: Nice

Two Thumbs up to that maker. That looks awsome. If i ever had a reason for gauges, Ie, a blown truck or something, I'd definately give that a try.

I have done some custom fiberglass work which can be seen here: CarDomain Page

Check out pages 3 and 4 for box/fiberglass pictures, all work done in my garage.

I'm tempted to do something like that for the nav but it would obviously have to be strictly for looks as I don't have a supercharger or anything that realy requires extra gauges.

Just send me an email if anyone has questions about fiberglassing or anything, as I do have some* experience.

Fantastic

I second that - have him think it over, come up with the time he has to make 'em and what he wants monetarily, and throw it out there. I'm sure a bunch of folks would wait X weeks for a custom piece like that.
