Somebody is smoking crack over there. These numbers are the Gospel, taken straight from Hotchkis' own mouth:

Part # ------------ Spring Rate ---------------- Drop

stock front ------------ 650 -------------------- -

stock rear ------------ 180 ------------------- -

1915F (old front) ----- 960 ------------------ 1

1939F (new front) ---- 825 -------------------- 1.5

2411 (old rear) ------ 278 -------------------- 2

2412 (new rear) ---- 243 -------------------- 2.5

What specifically is your complaint, Monty?

No complaints really....it's just that going over big bumps on the highway, the truck seems to "dip" a bit, BUT I get no rubbing! (I'm sitting at 15.5").

I'm not sure if this is due to the stereo equipment or the Nitro Active shocks...I really won't know until I get the new shocks. If the "dips" continue after the new shock install, I will upgrade to 1100 coils later on when I swap out the stereo equipment.

For now, I have a very driveable truck with a very slammed look.

BTW, John Whatley in sales over at Hothckis is the guy who told me the 1915s have the lower rating.

This is how I droped my L it mite sound ghetto, but it worked for me. I installed a DJM 4" kit on the rear, and cut one loop off the front springs. It made the springs softer, and since I race my L on the 1/8 it helped with the weight transfer to the back. The L raises the front end pretty good. It corners great to me it works fine.

in looking at pictures of the napa bolts, compared to the ford ones sitting on my workbench, the ford bolts are much thicker, look to be stronger.

probably not so much that they need to be swapped, but i don't know, mine are still on the bench, waiting for my ruslow springs to get here.

ok guys I have put about 5k miles on my Ground Force front springs. I think they use the Eibachs? Anyway im very unsatisfied with the bumpy and nasty vibrations you get when you hit a bump way worse then stock. Im planning on ordering the hotchkis fronts springs and rear leafs. I dont road course or anything but I enjoy a harder ride. What do you guys think?

Hey monty, do you have any pics of your current drop. Did you install the springs with the urethane isolator or the stock rubber one. Also how much of a gap is there between the tire and the fender. I never really measured my truck before and after so 15.5 from center to fender doesnt really help me much. Thanks Monty.

I should be recieving my 1915's soon. Just got my Panhard in the mail today and should be recieving my hellwig rear swaybar on monday. Cant wait till the truck is complete.

Jube- I'll have pics tomorrow. I did install the coils with the stock rubber isolator. With the Hothckis isolator (which doesn't come with the coils any more) I would have been at 15". It's difficult to guessimate the gap between the tire and the fender, but I would suggest taking a measuring tape, measuring a distance of 15.5", lining it up to the center of the wheel and that should give you a good idea of where the fender will be.
