Tuners predator ?

I had called one of the suggested tuners to get a custom tune on my predator and they said I had to give them my original backup first. Does this mean that there custom tune will rewrite this so that I don't have my original (factory) saved to put back in someday. If so what other chip options do I have?

No, you'll still have your stock back-up.

From: Colorado,
Why not just put your stock program back in and wait for the new tune?

I am very confused on the whole subject. The owners manual says I would have to put in a tune in order for it to copy my stok tune. So yes I believe I could just put it back in while I'm waiting for the custom tune. My question was though if this company makes me a custom tune off of the stock tune are they copy over the tune. But I quess if I am able to put the stock tune in while I wait for the other tune then I am really just copying my original for this company to expand off of?
