I was just going to post the same question ...

Thanks for the link - even on the internet- these things were tough to find (to buy).

Radio shack didn't have them... guy said I could use two SPDT to make one ... seemed silly to me.

thanks again!

Thumbs up thanks!

Can't thank you enough ... I was going mad with people thinking I'm speaking latin asking for this ... (locally that is).
Successful order- the shipping just showed "actual ups cost" - which should be VERY fare.
The url still didn't work; but it had the item # at the end- which gave it away!
Thanks again.

I did the whole 3 pole switch mod with my temp gauge. I also wired in 2 led of different color so i could tell which temp was being read at that position. heres a link:

007, did you use a dp3t switch so it can control the led's as well? how do you wire that up? i may copy your idea there so i don't forget which position is what temp.

I didnt forget....I just misplaced the packaging that the switch came in. Im trying to remember if the switch is a dp3t or not. I do remeber that you have to solder a pigtail from one side of the switch to the other side, in order to get the 3rd pole. The way i wired the LED's: I connected/wired the positve (+) side of the LED in with all the other gauges (so that it gets power when i start the truck.) The negative (-) side is tapped into the designated sensor wire going to the switch (because the sensor is grounding itself, being screwed into the hole). So now the flip of the switch completes the current and the LED comes on with that sensor. Also I was told I had to wire in a resistor to the color LED's that i used (red & blue) I guess each color requires a different resistor rating. (I cant remember what they are....sorry)

By the end of tonight I shoud be able to find that empty package.
I have an extra switch that i took apart to figure out how to wire it up. Unfortunalty a part of it broke, but i can take a picture of the pigtail if need be.

Alright, heres the beef:
The switch is a DPDT ON-ON-ON (no idea what the 2nd "D" stands for) The switch is made my Philmore. #30-090
I also found the resistors that i used. (red) 1/2watt 560 ohm 2%
(blue) 1/2watt 220 ohm 2%.
Again I was informed that I had to use these resistors with those color LED's. I have no idea why?? If you need any more info or a picture let me know.
John

*I dont see the part # on their website, but im sure if you drop them an email they will help you out. And if that doest work let me know and I will go down there and pick one up and mail it to you.
