Eh?

My problem is a pretty good horsepower loss. My cats are screwed up, that I know. What I am looking for is some info on how bad the damaged cats will affect performance so I will know if I need to look further for other problems.

Thanks,
Mark

I don't know about damamged ones but if they are clogged it can have serious effect on performance almost to the point the engine will die

I can attest to this statement, clogged cats = stomp gas = truck falls on its FACE!!!

I've got the same problem with my truck. I hear that metalic rumble sound from the cats. The heat shields are on there tight, so I assume its the baffles inside.

Whats the most sensible replacement part other than the factory cats. Keeping price in mind...

THanks,
Jon

How much are the stock cats at ford? I have a complete new system off my 03...(1500 miles) replaced it with the Dynatechs and Magnflow cat back.
