I know its no good with out pics but my dad got a rid in one over the weekend. Heres the story:

He went to Vegas for Fords Fleet Meeting and they had a whole range of cars there. Everything from the GT to Cobras, Ford 500 and Escorts. So when he first got there he saw them giving rids in the GTs. He was all pysched cause he thought everyone was getting a rid but it turns out those were guys who already put a down payment on 1. They werent even alowed to drive, just get rides. So finally he found out you had to go wait in a line and they would hand you a index card and on it was the car you could get a ride in. The first time around he got a cobra but he decided to try his luck again and he got the GT 40.

When he got in (they made him wear a helmet) he said it was pretty tight inside (tight as in close). He asked the driver how long he had been driving them and the guy responded with "This is my first day" He then tried to ask him some questions about the features but they guy said he knew nothing about the car.

The only other things he mentioned was that by 2nd they were going 80 MPH and near 120 which is the top speed they went up to it felt like the back was coming out from behind (kinda like our trucks).

I know what you are all thinking cause I said the same thing "Where are the pics!?" Well there are none, but I choose to belive my dad.

Charlie, cool story I'm sure your Dad had a blast. The Engineer who drove this cra said he can get to 65 in first then 100 or so in second.

I would love to have one after there out for a few years.

For the man who really does have to much money and wants a Ford in his garage. This car is one awesome machine and virtually hand built. Only about $400,000.00+ though.

We understand. How about just letting us in on the location? We'll take care of the rest.

Hmmm? They list at $395,000.00. It seems odd that you can buy one discounted that much. One helluva car regardless of price. I don't think I'll be purchasing one anytime soon though.
